Used only by ourselves for customer demonstrations. The Brunel Digicam Cameras are standalone streaming cameras that provide a continuous live image to a laptop or PC. The Digicam units work with Windows (including 11). Unlike the Eyecam, these cameras need a cctv adapter to link the camera to standard microscope eyetubes and the cctv adapter can be inserted into the monocular eyetube (23.2mm), or one of the binoculars or into the trinocular tube of almost all microscopes. USB 2.0 Aptina CMOS sensor. Sold with CCTV adapter, USB lead and software - a saving of £100.

This is a wooden microscope case for those microscopists that have to 'marry' their microscopy passion with the furniture of their homes. The back and bottom of these cases are from block MDF but the rest of the case is from 'real wood' - medium oak. Carrying handle and lock and key. This is a substantial case and not really designed for microscope transport but for microscope stowage in full view. External dimensions 480mm height, 400mm depth and 300mm width with internal measurements 430mm height, 350mm depth and 260mm width. A piece of furniture rather than a microscope case.

This Brunel ring light will fit all our zoom stereomicroscopes with the appropriate adapter. It may also fit other makes providing the stereohead has a parallel sided cowling and is less than 65mm in diameter. The unit consists of a fluorescent circular strip light which attaches to the bottom of the stereohead. The ring light is 240v with an on/off switch and provides excellent vertical illumination that is softer than LED lighting. This is a new product used only for our assessment purposes.

In very good condition, this is the Meiji 150 watt fibre optic ring light. The 21 volt 150 watt light source delivers high intensity cold light illumination. Colour temperature at maximum intensity is 3250 degrees Kelvin. The base incorporates an easy release lamp change mechanism and a filter holder. The ring light has a universal adapter which will attach to ant stereomicroscope head that has parallel sides that are suitable for the thumb nut attachment system.

This is one of our updated stereomicroscope ring lights used only by ourselves for customer demonstrations. The 78 LED's are arranged in two concentric rings. The control box allows brightness control. The ring light will fit all the zoom stereomicroscopes in the Brunel range and will fit others providing they have parallel sided turrets up to a maximum of 65mm in diameter. Condition as new and fully guaranteed

This is a good-sized hotplate measuring 16 x 12 inches surface area. The top has six metal bars that can be moved across the surface of the plate to accommodate the width of microscope slides. The temperature can be control between 25 to 75 degrees. It is ideal for the production of glycerine jelly mounted slides to keep the slides and coverslips suitably warm. In addition, it will also maintain temperatures to keep paraffin wax molten. Condition excellent.

Staining material on a microscope slide in a home environment is one of the more vexed problems for the microscopist. This is the answer. The two parallel bars are the right distance apart to support microscope slides and the Teflon screws allow the distance between the feet to be adjusted to suit a sink or a bowl of any size. A good sturdy system well overdue.

This is quite simply one of our best new products in recent years. It is not a fibre optic unit but two very effective LED light units mounted on goose neck flexible arms. The light output is outstanding and would match a 150 watt fibre optic unit at full capacity for a fraction of the price.Finished in black enamel the metal alloy base is very stable and has an on/off switch with full rheostat control. The flexible arms have good rigidity and maintain position well.As with all LED units the heat gain is minimal and therefore ideal for heat sensitive specimens such as insects. This unit has only been used by ourselves for customer demonstrations.

A very compact CCTV camera with BNC and S-video output options. Costar branded. For those who want a TV image from their microscope, this maybe ageing technology but represents a bargain.

Fibre optic light units are still the best way to get high intensity illumination. This is an LED unit which delivers light intensity far greater that the standard halogen systems The light emission here is better than the equivalent halogen system of 150 watts. The power source has an on/off switch with rheostat control house within a compact all metal alloy body. The ring light will fit any stereomicroscope where the cowling of the stereo head is less than 60mm in diameter. Condition as new and guaranteed.

This is one of our most recent additions that has been used by ourselves only for customer demonstrations. The circular base light is 95mm in diameter with the illuminated portion 70mm is diameter. Ideal for stereomicroscopes that do not have transmitted illumination or for slide preparations that need transmitted lighting.

This is not really for the amateur but for those with some experience of microtomy. The microtome was used to cut frozen sections of fixed material by using the sudden expansion of compressed carbon dioxide gas from a cylinder. The connection pipe and freezing stage are present but should only be attached to a cylinder of gas by those who are experienced with the procedure. It currently has a stage that will take paraffin blocks attached to a wooden chuck which can also be sectioned by this microtome. Sectioning knife included. The microtome is clearly well used but is fully functional.
