This unit could equally be offered in the Vintage section. It is engineering at its best. It is a relatively small (but very heavy) rotary microtome. The knife holder system moves on a dovetail system and the specimen holder is designed as a clamp for wooden blocks. Section thickness setting. A treat to use (from someone who used microtomes professionally for a good few years)!

The Cambridge Rocker Microtome was first designed by one of the sons of Charles Darwin and it remains probably the ideal instrument for those new to microtomy, and for cutting ribbons of sections of smaller plant and animal tissues has never been bettered.
