Olympus

This is a set of short Olympus objectives in very good condition indeed. x4 (0.10), x10 (0.25), x40 (0.65) and x100 oil immersion (1.30). Standard RMS screw thread which means this set of Olympus objectives could be fitted to a wide range of other stands. Corrected for 160mm tube length.

The Olympus BH2 needs little introduction as one of the classic Olympus professional laboratory microscopes. This is a very complete system. It has a six position objective turret with the following x4 Dplan (0.10), x10 plan (0.25), x20 (0.46), semi-plan x40 (0.65), x50 oil immersion (0.90) with an iris diaphragm, x100 oil immersion (1.25) The condenser has the usual focusing lateral adjustments. The eyepieces are WHK x10/20L. The Kohler illumination system has 6 volt 20 watt halogen lamp and 2 spare lamps are included. On the front of the base there is a moving LED lighting stream that shows the current voltage during use. The low position coaxial coarse and fine focus system has a depth indicator scale, tension adjustment and focus stop. This is a fine microscope and all original. The general condition of this unit is excellent having had one owner only since new. This unit has the ergonomic head which allows its operating angle to be set to suit the individual. It has x10 wide field eyepieces that are also suitable for spectacle wearers. A small point but it does show how this microscope was looked after - it still has its original Olympus Allen key. A fine microscope by any standard.
