The BST is fitted with a x1 objective as standard, this can be replaced by alternative objectives which then change the zoom magnification range. The x0.5 Plan Apo halves the zoom magnification range but also doubles the working distance.

Very few stereomicroscopes these days have drawing attachments. The BST has an excellent drawing attachment that can be fitted beneath the stereohead.

The BST can be fitted with a double beam splitting element which allows a CCTV camera and an SLR digital camera to be attached and function at the same time.
